Qualifications

• Must assume multiple postures (kneeling, squatting, bending, standing, sitting) for extended periods.
• Safely manage physically or verbally aggressive students.
• Participate in physical fitness activities with students.
• Lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently.
• May work with bio-hazards.
• Willing to participate in MANDT training.
• Position funded through grant or enrollment funding.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom work to support lesson plans and reinforce instruction.
• Assist other personnel as needed to support their work activities.
• Implement instructional behavioral programs under teacher supervision.
• Maintain students' files/records for data collection.
• Monitor students in classroom, library, playground for safety and learning.
• Perform clerical tasks (scheduling, copying) to support teachers.
• Assist with daily living skills for student care.
• Be adaptable to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Regular attendance at work is critical.
