Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ seeks a Level III NICU Registered Nurse to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practice. The role collaborates closely with physicians, therapists and families to coordinate comprehensive NICU care.

The 18-hour weekly schedule is day shift, on-site, with competitive hourly pay. Requires valid NJ RN license, strong communication, and ability to lead a care team in a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• Must have valid NJ RN License. Approved licenses must be presented and maintained according to the New Jersey licensing board.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures and standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Performs a patient assessment leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a care plan.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions.
• Manages rapidly changing situations and participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family about disease process and care needs.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of the nursing team.
• Maintains standard precautions and patient safety principles.
• Participates in orientation and development of healthcare team.
• Identifies and participates in performance improvement activities.
