Job summary

California State University, East Bay seeks part-time lecturers for the Accounting and Finance pool to cover Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Teaching may occur at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, or online, with assignments across introductory and advanced levels.

Candidates must hold a Master’s in accounting or finance (or JD); a Ph.D. in accounting or finance is preferred. ABDs with recent exams may qualify. Employment is contingent on background checks and state eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting or finance or JD in law.
• Ph.D. in accounting or finance and degree from an AACSB accredited institution is preferred.
• ABD candidates must have completed exams in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and/or advanced accounting courses with proficiency in financial, managerial, or tax areas.
• Teach one or more introductory and/or advanced finance courses with several specializations.
• Assignments may include Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online.

Education

Master’s degree in accounting or finance

Juris Doctorate in law

Ph.D. in accounting or finance (preferred)
