Lander Grinspoon Academy in Northampton, MA is seeking a Learning Specialist to support diverse learners. The role provides direct intervention, assessments, and collaboration with teachers and families to promote academic success.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, strong communication skills, and experience with data-driven instruction. This is a part-time role (25 hours/week) with 23,000–25,000 USD annually and benefits including sick/personal time and holiday scheduling.

Qualifications

• Experience providing academic intervention for diverse learners.
• Knowledge of assessment practices and data-driven instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and individual academic support for students needing intervention.
• Conduct benchmark assessments and analyze student performance data.
• Develop progress reports and communicate student growth with families and teachers.
• Collaborate with teachers to support differentiated instruction and interventions.
• Participate in parent conferences, student support meetings and faculty meetings.
• Contribute to curriculum review and instructional planning as needed.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment valuing diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
• Support school programs, events, field trips and community activities.
• Complete professional development and participate in faculty work weeks and training.
