Job summary

The University of San Diego School of Law seeks broadly trained professionals to teach graduate students in its JD and graduate law programs. Adjunct instructors are non-benefit based, teaching 1–4 units per course with a maximum of 6 units per semester.

Compensation is $2,510 per teaching unit for the 2026-27 academic year (Fall 2026 through Summer 2027), with periodic needs across Fall, Spring, and Summer terms in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be capable of teaching graduate law students.
• Experience teaching at a law school is preferred.
• Ability to teach JD and graduate law programs across multiple courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses in JD and graduate law degree programs.
• Assignments to courses are adjunct law professors.
• Each course consists of 1-4 units of teaching credit and up to 6 units per semester.
• Teach during Fall, Spring, and Summer terms as needed.
