University of Kansas in Kansas is seeking part-time, temporary role players to support the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) in Yoder. The positions involve following scripts, playing assigned roles, and assisting with setup and teardown as needed.

Must be 18+, able to endure weather, wear PPE, and pass a background check. The Hutchinson Campus hosts KLETC and coordinates with KU Professional & Continuing Education to deliver training across multiple sites and programs.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must endure extreme weather conditions.
• Must be able to use/tolerate PPE.
• Must pass background check.
• Portrays an assigned role and stays in character.
• Follows regulations, policies and instructors.
• Dresses in appropriate role-appropriate apparel.
• Maintains competency, conduct, appearance and integrity.

Responsibilities

• 90%: Support scenario-based training; role players follow scripts from KLETC staff.
• 10%: Assist in set-up and teardown of scenarios.
