Position Title: Law Clerk (Part-Time – Research)

Location: Remote / Hybrid (flexible)

Hours: Part-time (approximately 10–20 hours per week, flexible scheduling)

Duration: Project-based, with potential for extension

Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Position Overview

I am seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to provide legal research and analytical support for a law book currently in development for a preeminent legal publisher. This role is ideal for a law student, recent graduate, or early‑career attorney with strong research skills and an interest in legal scholarship, writing, and doctrinal analysis.

The Law Clerk will work closely with the authors on substantive legal research, source validation, and citation support across multiple chapters and topics.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth legal research using primary and secondary sources (cases, statutes, regulations, law review articles, treatises)
• Summarize and synthesize legal authorities clearly and accurately
• Assist with outlining and issue-spotting for book chapters
• Verify citations and support footnote accuracy (e.g., Bluebook compliance, as applicable)
• Track developments in relevant areas of law and flag emerging issues
• Provide general research and writing support as the manuscript evolves
