Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to provide direct care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery and during the immediate postpartum period.

The role requires solid clinical RN experience in labor and delivery, strong patient education skills, and the ability to collaborate with obstetric teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with relevant clinical experience.
• Strong knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and protocols.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work compassionately with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and support mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams.
• Perform fetal monitoring and administer medications and IVs.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean births.
• Provide patient and family education on childbirth and postpartum care.
