Inova OB Office in Chantilly, VA is hiring a part-time Laboratory Technician Assistant 2 PSC (LTA 2 PSC) for a day shift (7:30am-1:00pm). The role involves specimen prep, collection, patient registration, and excellent patient service, with an emphasis on accurate labeling and regulatory compliance.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy training, and 1 year PSC experience (or 6 months with Inova Phlebotomy School). BLS certification within 3 months of hire is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Phlebotomy training or allied health program required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately manages specimen preparation, storage, and packaging for transport according to Lab protocols.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and staff to optimize performance.
• Performs patient registration/billing/test orders to ensure correct testing, billing and regulatory compliance.
• Performs proper and timely specimen collection and labels all specimens according to policy.
• Provides excellent patient and customer service using AIDET principles and ensures accurate information.
• Other duties as assigned.
