Job summary

IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group in Carol Stream, IL is hiring a Part-Time Laboratory Support/Courier to join the team on a fixed schedule.

Responsibilities include transporting samples to the lab, preparing and sorting specimens, and maintaining lab equipment under supervision. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree preferred, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Biology or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with data entry and computer applications.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Valid US drivers license and clean driving record.
• MVR monitoring as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule.
• Cleaning and maintaining coolers for sample transport.
• Media and sample preparation.
• Sample sorting and log-in.
• Sample testing steps under supervision.
• Compositing using aseptic technique.
• Transcribing results.
• Washing glassware and general laboratory cleaning.
• Inventory control and other duties as assigned.
