Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher is required; high school diploma with 3+ years in a clinical laboratory encouraged.
• 1–2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• 1 year of technical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and prepare patient specimens for analysis, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
• Accurately enter test data and patient information into laboratory information systems and maintain organized records of all procedures.
• Set up, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure they function correctly.
• Record Temperature and Humidity.
• Prepare chemical solutions and reagents according to established laboratory formulas and procedures.
• Monitor and manage inventory of Laboratory supplies.
• Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware, surfaces, and equipment to maintain a safe and uncontaminated work environment.
• Dispose of biohazardous waste and chemicals in accordance with strict safety regulations and protocols.
• Assist technologists with basic testing procedures and the setup of complex experiments.
• Assist with FedEx shipment of supplies.

Education Requirement: Associate degree (at minimum). Candidates with at least, a high school diploma but have at least three years of working in a clinical laboratory are encouraged to apply. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: One to two years of experience working in a clinical laboratory preferred. One year of technical experience preferred.
