Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic team member to fill the role of Utility Worker at Converse University in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This is a part-time position designed to support busy campus dining services and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen.

Duties include washing dishes, keeping work areas tidy, rotating stock, and assisting with receiving products from vendors. Candidates should be able to perform physical tasks, follow safety standards, and contribute to a positive team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and equipment is implied by duties.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, walking and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or using a dish machine.
• Maintain clean and orderly kitchen areas, equipment and utensils.
• Place clean dishes and cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Receive products from vendors and organize stock.
• Sort and remove trash and place it in designated pickup areas.
• Clean and rotate the walk-in cooler.
