Job summary

Ball State University is seeking part-time instructors for the School of Kinesiology to teach face-to-face or online courses across various disciplines. Positions are temporary for 1–6 credit hours per semester, with a flexible schedule and a focus on delivering quality pedagogy.

Applicants must have at least a master's degree in a relevant field by time of appointment; prior teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Part-time semester instructors qualified to teach in aquatics, exercise science, physical education, sport administration, sport and exercise psychology, biomechanics, athletic coaching education, exercise physiology, or athletic training.
• Undergraduate classes require a master's degree by appointment; terminal degree for graduate classes if approved.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses from one to three credit hours per semester.
• Create a standardized syllabus and manage course materials.
• Be available to students and submit grades via Canvas.
• Coordinate courseware with the Program Coordinator and review texts as needed.
• Administer evaluations of student performance based on learning outcomes.
