Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work with or around sick animals, cleaning chemicals, and potentially hazardous materials.
• Flexible with scheduling, including weekends, overnights and holidays.
• Strenuous job requiring lifting, cleaning, and constant motion.
• Standing for long periods and possibly stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate care to pets and assists veterinarians and technicians.
• Feeds animals as prescribed; records appetites, water intake, and waste.
• Monitors pets for distress and abnormal behavior; reports concerns.
• Maintains hospital cleanliness; cleans cages, runs, and equipment; ensures safe use of chemicals.
• Prioritizes tasks and follows a regular cleaning schedule.
• Walks patients according to schedule and provides fresh bedding when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager and communicates services to clients.
