Job summary

Clayton County Public Schools ADAMSON MIDDLE in Rex, Georgia is seeking an Athletic Coach to assist the Head Coach in delivering sports coaching for K-12 students. You will supervise activities, develop athletes, and promote core movement and sport-specific skills.

Qualifications

• Certified employee serving in a teaching or administrative position.
• Paraprofessional with GHSA Principles for Coaching and NCSS PREPARE/First Aid, plus GHSA Head Coaching Class.
• Experience in coaching or playing the sport preferred.
• Experience with equipment inventory and scheduling preferred.
• Ability to manage projects and duties with minimal supervision; strong time management and communication skills.
• Regular, frequent contact with internal and external personnel; ability to discuss issues of moderate importance.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and coaches K-12 students on fundamentals of sports.
• Coaches and supervises team rules, policies, and equipment handling.
• Oversees athlete registration and equipment issuance; assists with try-outs.
• Coordinates practice schedules and supervision of athletes and teams.
• Guides student athletes to participate at appropriate levels; monitors participation.
