Job summary

Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) seeks a knowledgeable and dedicated coach to lead the JVB Boys Basketball team for the 2026-27 season. The role is a part-time stipend position with responsibilities that include skill development, game management, and collaboration with the athletic department.

The ideal candidate will have basketball experience, CPR/AED certification, and NFHS course completion, plus strong leadership and communication skills to mentor student-athletes and uphold safety

Qualifications

• Previous basketball experience, through playing or coaching.
• Must hold CPR/AED certification and complete all NFHS courses.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the JVB Boys Basketball program.
• Oversee game management and foster a competitive, sportsmanlike culture.
• Manage player development, safety, and supervision.
• Collaborate with varsity coaching staff, athletic department, and activities director.
• Ensure safety, educational, and school district protocols are followed.
