Job summary

Continental Finance Company in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Junior Applications Developer to join the Liberty Career Finance team. This temporary, part-time in-office role offers the chance to contribute to enterprise software projects in the financial services space.

You will design, code, test, and support Web and WinForm applications using .NET/C#, SQL Server, and front-end React.js, while collaborating in an agile SCRUM environment and learning new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in the financial services industry, especially retail installment lending.
• Proficient in C# and .NET; knowledge of React.js.
• Experience with REST, JSON, and XML web services.
• Experience with SQL Server and database applications.
• Familiarity with Agile SCRUM practices.
• Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and support Web and WinForm applications using a variety of Microsoft technologies, including .Net, C# and SQL Server as well as front-end frameworks such as React.js.
• Perform systems analysis to understand business processes and needs, and design product solutions to satisfy business requirements.
• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
• Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications. Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
• Support and maintain applications and systems currently in production.
• Learn new technologies and keep abreast of existing technologies and apply these to a variety of projects as applicable.
