Job summary

Beloit Auction Service, Inc. is hiring a part-time Janitor / Facilities Maintenance for our new 55,000-square-foot Beloit, WI facility. The role emphasizes cleaning, general maintenance, and keeping showrooms, offices, and common areas presentable for staff and clients.

Prior janitorial experience is required; facilities maintenance experience is a plus. This position offers a flexible part-time schedule and a competitive hourly pay range of $17.00–$22.00, based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, commercial cleaning, or custodial experience required.
• Previous facilities maintenance or general handyman experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean facility.
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment.
• Willingness to perform occasional outdoor duties in varying weather conditions, including snow and ice removal.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, breakrooms, customer areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors throughout the facility.
• Empty trash and recycling containers.
• Clean windows, doors, counters, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of auction showrooms, warehouse areas, and customer pickup areas.
• Assist with general building upkeep and preventative maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as experience allows.
• Help maintain exterior entrances, sidewalks, and surrounding areas.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance, including shoveling snow and spreading ice melt on sidewalks, entrances, and other pedestrian areas as needed to maintain safe access.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns or needed repairs.
• Perform other general cleaning and facility-related duties as assigned.
