Job summary

Ampcus, Inc is seeking an IT Sourcing Consultant 3 to lead a sole-source procurement for a cloud-hosted licensing and enforcement system in Henrico, VA. The role demands strong procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation skills.

This part-time engagement is 20 hours per week for 8 weeks (160 hours total). You will work with project teams, vendors, and the PMO to ensure compliant documentation, fair pricing, and clear deliverables.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in procurement and supplier management, including cloud solutions.
• 8+ years in contract and vendor negotiations.
• 8+ years in technical writing and requirements gathering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sole-source procurement process in collaboration with the project team, cloud solutions team, PMO, and vendor.
• Ensure all required forms and documentation for a sole-sourced cloud-hosted system are completed.
• Evaluate proposals and execute the agreed-upon negotiation strategy with selected suppliers.
• Gather and clarify requirements to negotiate fair-priced contracts with clearly defined deliverables.
• Evaluate and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Establish contracts that support the customer's long-term interests.
• Manage customer expectations regarding project deliverables through effective and timely communication.
• Conduct post-project lessons-learned reviews to promote knowledge transfer and customer satisfaction.
