Job summary

Lone Star College in Conroe Center is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach Computer Information Technology courses. You will design engaging lessons, align them to course objectives, and provide student support both in and out of class.

The role requires a Master’s degree with CS coursework or an MBA with relevant CS studies, with classes offered day, evening, and weekends at various sites. Compensation is per contact hour.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in computer science or a related field, or an MBA with 18 hours of relevant CS coursework or experience.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Computer Information Technology courses at various times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons to promote student involvement and application of material.
• Submits college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Uses a course syllabus and follows institutional guidelines.
• Meets with and advises students before/after class or by appointment.
• Evaluates student progress and communicates feedback promptly.
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Attends meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
• Assists with other reasonable duties as assigned.
