Job summary

San Jacinto College seeks part-time faculty to deliver Continuing & Professional Development IT Technology courses across the Central, North, and South campuses, as well as off-site locations as necessary.

Instructors support adult learners with expertise in hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity, and must communicate effectively in both spoken and written form. Positions are adjunct, with assignments as needed and paperwork completed promptly.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years of industry experience or licensure/certification that leads to required competencies.
• Experience training adults.
• Skills in hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Certification/licensure in specific area may be required for some courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for CPD IT Technology courses across Central, North, and South campuses and off-site locations as needed.
• Meet course objectives and achieve strong instructor evaluations.
• Complete all required San Jacinto College course completion paperwork timely.
• A portion of teaching may be evening or weekend classes.
