Job summary

NOVA is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Interior Design at Loudoun. Courses may be offered in person, remotely, or online, with teaching loads based on enrollment and staffing needs.

The appointment carries no guarantee of continued employment, and compensation is paid per credit hour. Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in the field (or an associate’s with related experience) and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in field or Associates + 2 years related occupational experience.
• Knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Products.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population and adapt to various formats (face-to-face, remote, and online).
• Experience teaching in higher education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
• Adhere to NOVA and VCCS policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain current competence in the field of specialization.
