Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno Honors College seeks qualified part-time faculty to teach interdisciplinary Honors seminars in leadership, global perspectives, and related topics. Courses range from 1–3 credits and are designed to engage academically talented students in discussion-based, inquiry-driven learning.

The successful candidate will teach, develop engaging learning experiences, assess student work, and submit grades in accordance with university policies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline (current graduate students are encouraged to apply).
• Demonstrated expertise in the proposed course topic.
• Evidence of effective teaching, mentoring, or professional engagement appropriate to the course content.
• Ability to teach interdisciplinary, student-centered courses that appeal to students from a wide range of academic majors.

Responsibilities

• Teach Honors courses and seminars as assigned.
• Develop and deliver engaging, discussion-based learning experiences for academically talented undergraduate students.
• Maintain course materials, assess student learning, and submit grades in accordance with university policies.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and critical inquiry.
