Job summary

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) seeks an experienced educator to teach college-level courses in Korean Language and Literature. Responsibilities include developing course materials, evaluating student performance, and ensuring a high-quality teaching experience.

Qualified candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Korean Language, Literature, Linguistics, or Second Language Acquisition, with teaching experience preferred. The position requires availability to teach across multiple campuses as well as day, evening, or weekend courses.

Job description

Core Responsibilities

• Teach college‑level courses in Korean Language/Literature.
• Develop syllabi and course materials.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Provide an excellent teaching experience and student advisement, recruitment activities, and program/curriculum development.
• Teach at multiple campuses in Clark County.
• Be available to teach day, evening, and/or weekend courses.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Korean Language or Literature, Linguistics or Second Language Acquisition from a regionally accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching Korean in higher education.
• Experience with computer‑assisted instruction and interactive laboratories.

Salary

$925.00 per instructional unit. Exempt: Yes. Full‑time Equivalent: 7.5%.
