Job summary

San Juan Unified School District seeks an Instructional Assistant II at Churchill Middle School. The 6-hour position supports classroom activities, assists teachers, and participates in program delivery for resource and special education settings.

The role requires experience with mild/moderate support programs and pre-qualification with required tests or transcripts; CBEST or equivalent credentials are considered. Work hours are 8:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience with students in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs.
• Willingness to obtain California Class C Driver License within 30 days if required.
• Must pre-qualify by attaching required documents (diploma/test scores) for Non-Title sites; Title I sites require A/B/C/D documentation.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups of students.
• Assist students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings and General Education.
• Support the teacher's needs and classroom activities.
