Lake Washington School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant at Redmond Middle School in Redmond, WA. The role supports teaching staff and helps maintain a positive learning environment during a 3.75-hour day (11:00-2:45).

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must hold an AA degree or have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours OR have passed a ParaPro or Paraprofessional assessment.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff by completing instructional tasks and maintaining an orderly classroom.
• May work in classroom, lunchroom, library, before or after school programs, or office.
• Elementary level duties may include crossing guard and playground supervision.
• May be assigned to an individual student or the entire classroom.
