Job summary

Houston Christian University invites applications for adjunct faculty in Information Systems within the College of Science and Engineering. The position is part-time, course-by-course, and open for Fall 2026 or later.

Applicants should be prepared to teach undergraduate-level information systems courses in a lab-based setting and contribute to curriculum development in a Christian academic environment. Adjunct faculty are hired on a course-by-course basis based on student demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in a related discipline and teaching experience aligned with the discipline.
• A PhD in a related discipline is preferred.
• Industry work experience in the related discipline is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate-level courses in the field of information systems through an interactive lab-based curriculum.
• Participate in course development and review as needed and recommend changes to courses and curriculum design.
• Manage classroom environment and assist in creating an effective Christian learning environment.
• Motivate students to learn and grow in their knowledge and skills associated with information systems within a Christian environment.
• Perform other duties as needed.
