Job summary

Ridgeway Rehab Center in Catonsville, MD, is seeking an Infection Control Nurse (ICP) with RN licensure to support the Director of Nursing. This part-time role involves coordinating infection control, training staff, and ensuring compliance with standards.

The ICP will develop and maintain training programs, monitor outbreaks, and serve as a resource for employees and families while contributing to a collaborative care environment.

Qualifications

• RN license in MD is required.
• Infection Control Preventionist certification is required.
• Unit manager/nurse management experience preferred.
• LTC/SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care and health education for residents and patients.
• Train and educate nursing associates and other staff.
• Plan, direct, conduct, and evaluate staff training and orientation.
• Identify, control, and prevent outbreaks of infections in the facility.
• Collect and analyze infection control data to monitor outbreaks.
• Develop and maintain ongoing infection control training for all staff.
• Act as infection control resource for employees, visitors, and families.
• Ensure facility compliance with federal, state, and local infection control standards.
