Job summary

Lap of Love is hiring an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to deliver compassionate hospice and euthanasia care in Virginia. You will work directly with families in their homes, providing medical expertise, support, and guidance during meaningful moments.

The role emphasizes work‑life balance, ongoing mentorship, and a community of over 400 veterinarians and staff. A valid U.S. driver's license and weekend availability are required as part of a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM/VMD) and active veterinary license in good standing.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in‑home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
• Maintain thorough medical records and coordinate care with families.
• Engage in ongoing client communication and professional mentorship within Lap of Love.

*Veterinarian Salary Range: Part-time (2-day/week) opportunities available in Fredericksburg, Woodbridge, Manassas, Culpeper, Dale City, Centreville, VA area, offering a guaranteed base salary of $55,000 annually plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Full-time (3-day, 4-day, and 5-day) compensation details available upon request.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)

• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license

• Availability to work some weekends

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance

• Candidateswill be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
