Job summary

Lap of Love invites a Part-Time In-Home Veterinarian to join our mobile hospice team serving Sacramento, Roseville, Elk Grove, Carmichael, Folsom, Citrus Heights and surrounding areas. You’ll deliver compassionate pet hospice and euthanasia care in clients’ homes, embracing balance and professional fulfilment.

Flexible 2–5 day-per-week scheduling supports personal well-being and career purpose. Salary for part-time roles starts with a guaranteed base salary of $65,000 annually, plus bonus

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) is required.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Practice veterinary medicine in a mobile, in-home setting.
• Work with Lap of Love's mentors and practice managers to ensure high-quality care while maintaining balance.

*Veterinarian Salary Range: Part-time (2-day/week) opportunities available in Sacramento, CA, including Roseville, Elk Grove, Carmichael, Folsom, Citrus Heights, and surrounding areas, offering a guaranteed base salary of $65,000 annually plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Full-time (3-day, 4-day, and 5-day) compensation details available upon request.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
