Job summary

Cooke & Associates, Inc. seeks a part-time on-call hospital custody officer to support law enforcement agencies in Sacramento County. The role involves maintaining custody of suspects in medical facilities, verifying custody documentation, and ensuring continuous observation.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of professional in-custody/public safety experience.
• Prior sworn law enforcement experience preferred (federal/state/local).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required; BSIS certifications in California are listed as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain custody and continuous in-person supervision of suspects admitted to hospitals or medical facilities.
• Escort suspects within hospital for procedures and tests; ensure proper restraints.
• Maintain logs, reports, and communicate with GSOC and client agencies.
• Report escapes, use of force incidents, medical emergencies, or other significant events.
• Represent Cooke & Associates with professionalism and integrity.
