Job summary

The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey (Nonpublic School Services Department) is seeking a Part Time - IDEA Instructional Aide to support non-public schools. Anticipated locations include Mercer, Middlesex, Ocean, and Somerset Counties with an immediate start and pending background check clearance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and preferred 60 college credits, plus experience with children and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with non-teaching duties while implementing service plans and supervising students.
• Maintain open lines of communication with classroom teachers regarding students' progress and behavior.
• Assist with supervision of students during classroom instruction.
• Provide an atmosphere promoting positive social and emotional growth for students.
• Aid in implementing accommodations via ISPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Instruction.

POSITION AVAILABLE:

Part Time - IDEA Instructional Aide.

Anticipated at various locations in Mercer, Middlesex, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.

Ten (10) Month Position

SCHOOL/PROGRAM:

The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey - Nonpublic School Services Department.

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Program Administrator designated by the Board or Superintendent

START DATE:

Immediately - Pending Criminal History Clearance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational or related setting is preferred.

HOURS:

Hourly "as needed" (Follow calendar of assigned school)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist classroom teacher with non-teaching duties while implementing service plans: management and supervision of assigned students; review and reinforcement of skills and concept under the direction of the teacher.
2. Maintain open lines of communication with classroom teachers regarding assigned students' progress, behavior, and other matters critical to their educational program.
3. Assist with supervision of assigned students during classroom instruction.
4. Provide an atmosphere which promotes positive social and emotional growth and development for assigned students.
5. Aid in the implementing of accommodations and modifications as per assigned students' ISPs.
6. Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Instruction.

BENEFIT

DCRP Pension, sick and Personal based on FTE.

SALARY:

Following the established MCESA Salary Guide: Step #11 - $19.46 to Step # 18 - $24.23
