Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 in Wayzata, MN is looking for a Facility Attendant for the Ice Arena and Dome. The role supports safe, clean, and welcoming athletic facilities and ensures spaces are ready for user groups, events, and visitors.

Starting wage is $17.10 per hour, approximately 20 hours per week, on-site. Key duties include enforcing safety rules, maintaining facilities, managing scheduling and equipment, and delivering friendly customer service to players, coaches, and the community.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including snow removal.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Rules Enforcement: Communicate and enforce facility rules and safety procedures to all participants, coaches, and spectators.
• Facility Maintenance: Keep all areas, including playing surfaces, restrooms, hallways, locker rooms, bleachers, and the concession area, clean and well-maintained.
• Security: Follow and implement established security procedures to ensure the facility remains secure for everyone.
• Customer Service: Be a visible and positive presence for the community. Greet and communicate effectively with all facility users, including community members, coaches, and players.
• Operational Duties: Safely operate equipment as needed. During winter months, this includes removing snow from walkways and around the facility to ensure safe access.
• Scheduling & Equipment Management: Monitor the facility schedule to ensure all groups receive their allotted time. You will also be responsible for accounting for any equipment provided to participants.
