CC Prep Academy is seeking experienced and engaging Adjunct HVAC Instructors to prepare adult learners for successful careers in the HVAC industry. Day and afternoon/evening teaching opportunities are available for professionals who want to share their expertise while remaining active in the field.

Teach hands-on and theory-based HVAC courses in Anacostia, Washington DC, on-site, with competitive compensation and opportunities for industry certification prep and employment guidance.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, service, or repair.
• EPA Section 608 Certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for adult learners with varying levels of experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on HVAC instruction that combines theory with practical application.
• Teach core HVAC concepts including heating, cooling, refrigeration, electrical fundamentals, controls, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair.
• Provide students with hands-on experience using HVAC tools, equipment, diagnostic instruments, and industry-standard procedures.
• Reinforce OSHA, EPA safety practices throughout classroom and lab instruction.
• Prepare students for relevant industry certifications and employment opportunities in HVAC.
• Evaluate student progress through practical demonstrations, assignments, assessments, and competency-based activities.
• Connect classroom learning to real-world HVAC scenarios and employer expectations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, professional, student-centered classroom and lab environment.
• Collaborate with academic leadership to strengthen curriculum and student outcomes.
