Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an in-home Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care in the Tampa South, FL area. This mobile role emphasizes work-life balance, listener-centered care, and practicing with purpose alongside a community of 400+ veterinarians and dedicated leaders.

The position offers flexible 2–5 day schedules, with opportunities for mentorship, onboarding support, and a strong culture that honors time and personal life while delivering

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets in-home as a mobile veterinarian.
• Operate as a mobile veterinarian offering flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules.
• Participate in a community of veterinarians with ongoing mentorship and support.

Veterinarian Salary Range: Part-time (2-day/week) opportunities available in the Tampa South, FL area, offering a guaranteed base salary of $55,000 annually plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Full-time (3-day, 4-day, and 5-day) compensation details available upon request

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
