Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician at the Atrium Health Cabarrus - Pharmacy department in Concord, NH. The role supports pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and distribution, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.

Responsibilities include inventory, requisition, and compliance with USP standards; candidates must obtain CPhT or ExCPT within 18 months of starting and have a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State licensure as Pharmacy Technician per state requirements.
• Certification through CPhT or ExCPT within 18 months of start date.
• Experience in inpatient or hospital pharmacy preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks.
• Screen calls and route using proper etiquette.
• Assist with procurement, inventory control, and outdate checks.
• Document removal, stocking, and wastage of controlled substances as applicable.
• Perform nonsterile compounding following USP standards where applicable.
• Perform sterile IV admixture using proper aseptic technique where applicable.
• Inspect medication storage areas for policy adherence.
• Complete admission histories and data entry for record keeping and billing.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and training of technicians.
• Adhere to organization policies and legal/regulatory standards.
