Job summary

St. Mary's Home Care & Hospice is seeking a Hospice Medical Director to provide overall medical direction for patient and family services in Bucks County, PA.

The role partners with the Executive Director and clinical leaders to plan and evaluate services and to participate in governance. Candidates must be board-certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine, or commit to board certification within four years.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed physician in Pennsylvania (MD or DO).
• Must have access to a vehicle for patient visits.
• Ability to assess, plan, and evaluate nursing aspects with the Interdisciplinary team.
• Experience leading patient- and family-centered care.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall medical direction of patient and family services.
• Collaborate with Executive Director, Directors, and Supervisors to plan and evaluate clinical services.
• Serve on the program's Executive Team.
• Support Provider Relations activities.
• Provide input to the CPI Committee.
• Lead the QAPI Committee.
