Job summary

York County Community Action Corporation is seeking a Homeownership Educator & Counselor to join our Economic Opportunity & Housing Stability team. You will lead homebuyer education classes, provide individualized pre- and post-purchase counseling, build partnerships, and support billing and tech navigation for residents of York County.

The ideal candidate enjoys helping people navigate financial and housing decisions, making information practical, empowering, and accessible for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience in homebuyer education or housing counseling.
• Experience delivering education, counseling, coaching, or customer service to clients.
• Ability to obtain HUD and hoMEworks certifications within established timeframes.
• Must not have an active SAM record.

Responsibilities

• Lead homebuyer education classes, coordinate schedules and registrations.
• Provide individualized pre- and post-purchase counseling to participants.
• Build community partnerships with sponsors, instructors, and program partners.
• Support program billing and revenue tracking with attendance and records.
• Help participants navigate technology and online resources used in homebuying.
