Visiting Angels Eastside WA is hiring Part Time Homecare Aide - HCA to enrich clients' quality of life across Kirkland, Redmond, Woodinville and surrounding areas. You’ll provide personal care, companionship, cooking, light housekeeping, and mobility support to seniors in their homes while following tailored care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Excellent time-management and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled.
• Comfort with mobility assistance, light housekeeping and cooking within safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light physical activity or walking.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or incidents to supervisor.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Respond promptly in emergencies and accompany clients during shopping.

Role

As a Visiting Angels Part Time Homecare Aide - HCA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Visiting Angels offers opportunities for advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care for caregivers seeking to broaden their skills.

Part Time Homecare Aide - HCA Job Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
