Job summary

Adoration Health in Auburn, AL is seeking a part-time Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to deliver patient-centered care in the home setting. You will provide 1:1 therapy and work with a supportive clinical team to promote meaningful progress.

Responsibilities include evaluating speech and language needs, teaching communication strategies, educating families, and documenting progress per agency policy. Flexible scheduling supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in State and American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• Two (2) years of experience in adult occupational therapy, home health experience preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in therapeutic exercises to support progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes noting patient response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.
