Job summary

MedStar Health Home Care in Virginia is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) with home care experience to deliver skilled nursing services to patients in their homes. Expect attending full-time orientation Monday–Friday for 6–12 weeks before starting the part-time schedule (8-hour days x 3 times per week) with one weekend per month requirement.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL nursing degree from an accredited school.
• 1-2 years RN experience (ICU/CCU/Med-Surg/Oncology/Gerontology) within last 5 years or 1-2 years home health nursing experience preferred.
• Active DC RN license and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs, from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
• Coordinate interventions directly or with other members of the home health nursing team.
