Throgs Neck Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team on a part-time basis in the Bronx. The role focuses on assisting residents with transportation to appointments, supporting outings, and ensuring safety and well-being at all times.

Ideal candidates will have NY HHA certification, solid communication skills, and a compassionate, flexible approach to elderly and medically complex residents.

Qualifications

• Current New York State HHA certification is required.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, flexible, and compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to work with elderly and medically complex residents.

Responsabilités

• Escort residents to and from clinic appointments, dialysis sessions, and other outings.
• Monitor residents to prevent falls or incidents and intervene when necessary.
• Assist residents in preparing for appointments and ensure snacks or belongings accompany them.
• Report incidents or concerns immediately to the Clinical Coordinator or ADNS.
• Maintain professionalism while representing the facility on and off premises.
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
