Job summary

Touching Hearts at Home of Central VA is seeking a part-time Home Care Aide (companion care, 30 hours a week) to provide personalized support in a one-on-one setting. You will assist with daily living tasks, transportation, and companionship in the client’s home according to the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Compassionate heart for older adults and excellent customer service.
• Ability to provide reliable transportation; valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to perform light housework and meal prep; problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship, reminders, and support with daily living tasks.
• Transportation and companionship to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Standby assistance with personal hygiene.
• Overnight safety support.
