Job summary

ICLS in Washington, DC is seeking experienced Hindi instructors to teach adult professionals at the schoolhouse in person. Immediate part-time teaching assignments may expand to full- or part-time classes for private students and small groups from total beginners to advanced levels.

Candidates should have native-level Hindi, a bachelor’s degree, and legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred qualifications include a postgraduate degree in teaching or SLA, ILR familiarity,

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience teaching Hindi to adults in a full-time setting.
• Native-level proficiency in Hindi.
• Possess at minimum a bachelor's degree.
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States.
• Postgraduate degree in teaching, second language acquisition, or a similar field (preferred).
• Familiarity with ILR scale (preferred).
• Curriculum development experience (preferred).
• Experience preparing students for DoD/Foreign Service proficiency testing (preferred).
• Familiarity with Educational Technology tools (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach Hindi to adult professionals at the ICLS schoolhouse in Washington, DC.
• Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction for varied proficiency levels.
• May include additional classes in the future for private students or small groups.
