Job summary

FlightSafety International in Lafayette, LA seeks a Part Time Helicopter Second-in-Command to support client training in multi-crew aircraft. The SIC will not perform instructional duties but will ensure qualification maintenance and readiness.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with 2-3 years related experience, and hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with rotorcraft rating and relevant hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–3 years related experience.
• Commercial Pilot Certificate with rotorcraft rating; 250 helicopter hours, 500 hours preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as Second-in-Command for clients training in multi-crew helicopters; will not perform instructional duties.
• Maintain SIC qualification per program requirements and QMS.
• Keep current all required certificates, ratings and designations for SIC duties.
• Serve as SIC across various aircraft types for Part 142, Part 135, and non-FAA clients as needed.
