Job summary

Physicians Hearing Network is recruiting for a part-time Medical Assistant to support hearing healthcare services in Tempe and Gold Canyon, AZ. The role offers a 4-day work week (Mon-Thu) with hours from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM and locations split between Tempe and Gold Canyon.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented with a genuine interest in helping patients. Responsibilities include screening patients, operating equipment, and handling records while maintaining HIPAA

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting is required.
Previous hearing healthcare experience is a plus.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems.
HIPAA confidentiality awareness.

Responsibilities

Conduct hearing screenings for adult patients.
Operate and maintain hearing screening equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
Accurately record and report screening results.
Collaborate with hearing healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Perform administrative tasks related to patient records and equipment maintenance as needed.
