Job summary

Pasadena Post Acute is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will clean public areas, resident rooms, and bathrooms, and ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliable time management, and customer service. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with healthcare housekeeping experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to read and understand procedure manuals and directions.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Wipe down handrails and keep surfaces free of dust and debris.
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals per instructions.
• Report safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping or Nursing staff.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Manage time effectively and work independently or with a team to meet standards.
