The Newton Unified School District 373 is seeking a Head Start Coach to provide high-quality coaching, training, and technical assistance to Head Start and Early Head Start teachers. Under the administrative direction of the Program Administrator - Head Start, the Practice Based Coach is responsible for providing high-quality coaching, guided reflection, and training and technical assistance to Head Start and Early Head Start teachers on best practices related to early learning and supporting school readiness and the social-emotional development of young children in compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards. Performs other work as requested.
Salary and work year to be established by the board of education.
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
Contributes to providing quality service in accordance with skills and training. Promotes a unified team-oriented atmosphere in all communications and actions. Documents classroom and teacher observations and individual coaching plans. Provides constructive feedback and support to teaching staff for learning and growth.
