Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching athletics.
• Available to work during assigned hours.
• Understanding of and agreement with the District's athletic program goals.
• Familiar with care and treatment of athletic injuries.
• Arizona Dept of Education coaching certification required.
• NFHS Coaches Course including Concussion Course completed.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship at all times.

Responsibilities

• Coach participants in the skills necessary for successful performance.
• Provide a positive learning environment for the athletes.
• Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in season.
• Manage athlete behavior during training sessions and meets.
• Oversee safety of facilities and equipment.
• Assist athletic director with scheduling interscholastic contests.
• Maintain team rosters and end-of-year inventory.
• Evaluate coaches as requested.
