Essential Functions:

1. Assisted Self Check Out
2. Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
3. Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately.
4. Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time.
5. Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions.
6. Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provides excellent customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
• Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicates information regarding stock, special order merchandise, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
• Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines.
• Provides proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates for register activities.
• Provides supervision, coaching, and support to CSA Front End Team (Front End/Loaders).
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers.
• Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls or takes messages as needed.
• Opens additional registers when necessary to ensure adequate coverage.
• Assists in line vesting to facilitate quicker checkout turnaround.

In-stock

• Prepares register area at the beginning and end of shifts by confirming functionality of registers and scanners and stocking supplies.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
• Enters and submits customer orders, prints order tickets, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets.
• Reviews and processes online orders and returned merchandise appropriately.
• Looks up product information and competitor prices for price matching.
• Records all store-used items on the store use lists.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Obtains safety bags from the cash office and monitors cash in drawers.
• Monitors store entrances and exits for security, assisting customers or staff as needed.
• Detects signs of shoplifting and security risks, communicating promptly to management or Asset Protection.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization per housekeeping standards.
• Ensures a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and noting hazards.
• Adheres to safety requirements relevant to job duties.
• Operates store equipment as needed based on role and department.

General

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers, including data input, access, modification, or output.
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds, with or without accommodation.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in customer needs assessment and product sales, including credit, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, warranties, and product features.
• 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier.
• 1 to 2 years of experience working in a Lowe's store in any department.
• 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience, including delegation, evaluation, training, and coaching.
• Less than a year of experience in shoplifting detection.
